Welcome to the Priestgate Vaults, a chance to explore layers of history and meet people from the past, associated with the building which now houses Peterborough Museum.
The tour lasts about 45 minutes, and is not suitable for those aged under 8 or of a nervous disposition.

Visitors should be aware that visiting the cellar involves some steep steps, so is not suitable for wheelchair users.
The Vaults are also ideal for schools or education visits with specially tailored education sessions, or for private hire for an unusual venue for your event, group or party.

- No unaccompanied children under 16 are allowed on the tours, children must be supervised by a minimum ratio of 3 children to one adult
- We ask that Mobile phones are set to silent during the tours, so as not to spoil other guests enjoyment
- No filming, photography or recording is allowed during the tours; pictures may be taken in the Vaults at the end of the tour
- Visitors should be warned that being underground the Vaults are liable to be dusty and that floors are uneven. As such sensible shoes are advised!
- Large bags can be left upstairs during the tour
- Hard hats are supplied for those who wish to wear them on the tour – either as there are some low hanging pipes, or just for fun!

Tour Times
Admission to the Priestgate Vaults is strictly by guided tour only.
Tours take place on:
- Tuesday and Wednesday in school termtimes: Daily at 2.30pm
- Monday – Wednesday in school holidays: Daily at 2.30pm
- Additional tours are added on event days/peak periods

- Adults: £4
- Under 16s: £3
- Combined discount tickets are usually available on special event days with event tickets – please ask for details
