We offer target archery to suit a range of abilities and needs.
Our qualified archery leaders adapt the equipment and delivery style to enable participants to reach their potential.
Disability Archery Competition
We hold a competition on the first Friday of each month for our regular participants.
Participants compete against the other archers that regularly shoot at the same target length each week. This means each month we will have up to 4 champions;
• Specially Adapted Platform users
• Independent full length (20yds)
• Independent/supported mid-range (15yds)
• Supported short distance (10yds)
Each colour on the target has a set points score and each Archer is scored for twelve arrows to gain a total score.
For those who don't like competition against others we also use their score to award a certificate in line with our award scheme.
The popular Paralympic sport is now available at Vivacity!
We have some dedicated archery leaders on hand to help the participants to find a way of shooting that works for them.
Our archery equipment is created by Remap and Demand, two charities that specialise in developing speicific equipment to suite a particular need. You can also get more information about archery from British Wheelchair Archery Association
We can also signpost disabled people to move into a club environment and competitions, if that’s what individuals would like to do.
